A weakness has been identified in Putmail, which could be exploited by attackers to disclose sensitive information. This issue is due to an error in the "putmail.py" script that fails to properly verify whether a server supports TLS authentication, which could cause a vulnerable application to send authentication credentials in plaintext format.
