A vulnerability has been identified in HP OpenView Network Node Manager, which could be exploited by local attackers to potentially obtain elevated privileges. This issue is due to insecure permissions being set on the "HP OpenView" directory (Everyone/Full Control), which could be exploited by malicious users to delete certain files or replace them with malicious binaries that will be executed with the privileges of the user invoking the application.
