A vulnerability has been identified in GD Graphics Library, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary commands. This issue is due to an error in the "gdImageStringFTEx()" [gdft.c] function that does not properly handle malformed input when a JIS-encoded font is used, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an application linked against a vulnerable library or potentially cause a buffer overflow leading to arbitrary code execution.

Solution
