A vulnerability has been identified in GNOME Structured File Library (libgsf), which could be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary commands. This flaw is due to a buffer overflow error in the "ole_info_read_metabat()" and "ole_init_info" [gsf/gsf-infile-msole.c] functions, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a application linked against a vulnerable library.
