Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Sorin Chitu Telnet Ftp Server, which could be exploited by attackers to disclose sensitive information or cause a denial of service.

The first issue is due to input validation errors when processing malformed arguments passed to certain commands, which could be exploited by malicious users to gain unauthorized read access to arbitrary files and directories outside of the FTP root folder.

The second issue is due to an error when processing specially crafted "RETR" commands, which could be exploited by remote attackers to crash a vulnerable application.

Affected Products

Telnet - FTP Server version 1.0 build 1.250 and prior

Solution

VUPEN Security is not aware of any vendor-supplied patch.
