A vulnerability has been identified in Apple Mac OS X, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service. This flaw is due to errors when handling corrupted UDTO HFS+ image structures, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a vulnerable system to crash by convincing a user to visit a malicious Web page using Safari.

Apple Mac OS X version 10.4.8 and prior
Solution
Disable the "open safe files after downloading" option in the preferences.
VUPEN Security is not aware of any vendor-supplied patch.
