A vulnerability has been identified in FreeBSD, which could be exploited by local attackers to disclose sensitive information. This flaw is due to an integer overflow error in the "fw_ioctl()" [dev/firewire/fwdev.c] function that does not properly handle malformed arguments, which could be exploited by malicious users to gain unauthorized read access to the system memory.
