A vulnerability has been identified in GNU gv, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary commands. This flaw is due to a buffer overflow error in the "ps_gettext()" [ps.c] function when handling a malformed PostScript file, which could be exploited by attackers to crash a vulnerable application or compromise a vulnerable system by convincing a user to open a specially crafted file.

Solution
