Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in SAP Web Application Server, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service or gain unauthorized access to arbitrary files.

The first issue is due to input validation errors when processing certain requests, which could be exploited by remote attackers to read arbitrary files on a vulnerable system.

The second vulnerability is due to an error when handling malformed requests, which could be exploited by attackers to crash the "enserver.exe" process.

Affected Products

SAP Web Application Server version 7.00

Solution

Install patch 136 for SAP Web Application Server 6.40 and patch 66 for SAP Web Application Server 7.00 (see SAP notes 948457 and 959877).
