A vulnerability has been identified in XchangeBoard, which may be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This flaw is due to an input validation error in the "checkUser()" [inc/DBInterface.php] function that does not validate the "userNick" and "password" variables before being used in SQL statements, which could be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks via various scripts linked against the affected function.

XchangeBoard version 1.70 and prior

Solution

VUPEN Security is not aware of any vendor-supplied patch.
