Multiple vulnerabilities have benn identified in Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV), which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands or cause a denial of service.

The first issue is due to a heap overflow error in the "rebuildpe.c" script when rebuilding PE files, which could be exploited by attackers or malware to compromise a vulnerable system.

The second flaw is due to an error in the CHM unpacker (chmunpack.c) when unpacking malformed files, which could be exploited by attackers to crash an affected application.

Upgrade to ClamAV version 0.88.5 :
