Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in Wireshark (Ethereal), which could be exploited by remote attackers to compromise a vulnerable system or cause a denial of service.
The first issue is due to an error in the SCSI dissector, which could be exploited by attackers to crash a vulnerable application.
The second flaw is due to off-by-one errors in the IPSec ESP preference parser when the application has been compiled with ESP decryption support.
The third vulnerability is due to errors in the DHCP dissector and potentially other protocol dissectors, which could be exploited by attackers to crash a vulnerable application (on Windows).
The fourth issue is due to an error in the Q.2391 dissector when processing malformed packets, which could be exploited by attackers to exhaust all available resources, creating a denial of service condition.
