Technical Description
Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in OpenOffice.org, which could be exploited by attackers to take complete control of an affected system.
The first issue is due to an error where certain macros are silently executed without prompting the user, which could be exploited by attackers to gain full access to a vulnerable system by convincing a user to open a specially crafted document containing a malicious macro.
The second flaw is due to an error when handling specially crafted Java applets, which could be exploited by attackers to read or create arbitrary files on a vulnerable system via a malicious document.
The third vulnerability is due to a buffer overflow error when processing malformed XML documents, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary commands by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted document.
