A vulnerability has been identified in MyBB (MyBulletinBoard), which could be exploited by remote attackers to compromise a vulnerable web server. This flaw is due to an input validation error in the "domecode()" [inc/functions_post.php] function that does not validate input passed to the username field when registering before being passed to a "preg_replace()" call, which may be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP commands with the privileges of the web server.
