A vulnerability has been identified in Serendipity, which could be exploited by remote attackers to compromise a vulnerable server. This flaw is due to an input validation error in the file upload functionnality in "editor/filemanager/upload/php/upload.php" (disabled by default) when processing the "Type" parameter, which could be exploited by remote attackers to upload malicious scripts and execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the web server.
