A weakness has been identified in Microsoft Office 2003, which could be exploited by attackers to gain knowledge of sensitive information. This flaw is due to an input validation error in the "mailto" URI handler that does not properly validate malformed arguments, which could be exploited by attackers to automatically and silently attach an arbitrary file to an email by tricking a user into clicking a specially crafted "mailto:" link.

Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 2 and prior
Solution
