Technical Description
A vulnerability has been identified in X.Org X11, which could be exploited by local attackers to gain elevated privileges. This flaw is due to an error when handling specially crafted arguments passed to the "-logfile" and "-modulepath" command line options, which could be exploited by unprivileged users to load arbitrary modules, overwre certain files, or execute malicious commands with root privileges.
