A vulnerability has been identified in PHP SimpleNEWS, which could be exploited by remote attackers to gain unauthorized access to a vulnerable application. This flaw is due to an error in the "admin.php" script that does not verify the password when handling a cookie containing a specially crafted "admin" parameter, which could be exploited by remote attackers to access the application as an administrator.
