Technical Description
A vulnerability has been identified in Lighttpd, which can be exploited by remote attackers to disclose sensitive information. This flaw is due to an input validation error in the "response.c" file when processing a specially crafted filename extension containing dot and space characters, which could be exploited by remote attackers to display the source code of arbitrary scripts (e.g. PHP) instead of an expected HTML response.
