Rated as : High Risk
Remotely Exploitable : Yes Locally Exploitable : Yes Release Date : 2006-02-08
|
Two vulnerabilities wete identified in SPIP, which could be exploited by remote attackers to compromise a vulnerable server.
The first issue is due to an input validation error in the "spip_acces_doc.php3" script that does not properly validate the "file" parameter before being passed to the "spip_log()" function, which could be exploited by remote attackers to inject arbitrary code to the log file (ecrire/data/spip.log).
The second vulnerability is due to an error in the "spip_rss.php" script that fails to properly validate the "GLOBALS[type_urls]" variable before being passed to the "include_local()" function, which could be exploited in combination with the first issue to include local files (e.g. spip.log) and execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the web server.
