>> Nfs-server rpc.mountd "realpath" Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
|
A vulnerability has been identified in nfs-server, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands or cause a denial of service. This flaw is due to a buffer overflow error in "rpc.mountd" that does not properly validate user-supplied data before being passed to the "realpath()" function, which could be exploited by attackers with the ability to create symlinks on any of the file systems on the machine running rpc.mountd to execute arbitrary code with "root" privileges.
Affected Products
