A vulnerability has been identified in Auth_ldap (module for Apache), which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. This flaw is due to a format string error in the "auth_ldap_log_reason()" function that does not properly validate certain strings (e.g. username) before being passed to the logging function "ap_log_rerror()", which could be exploited by unauthenticated remote attackers to compromise a vulnerable web server where auth_ldap is installed and configured to perform LDAP authentication.
