A vulnerability has been identified in FTGate4, which could be exploited by attackers to execute arbitrary commands. This flaw is due to a buffer overflow error when processing a specially crafted "EXAMINE" command (port 143), which could be exploited by remote authenticated attackers to compromise a vulnerable server and execute arbitrary commands with SYSTEM privileges.

FTGate4 version 4.4 Build 4.4.000 and prior

Solution

VUPEN Security is not aware of any vendor-supplied patch.
