Two vulnerabilities were identified in FlatNuke, which may be exploited by remote attackers to conduct directory traversal or cross site scripting attacks.
The first issue is due to an input validation error in "index.php" when processing a specially crafted "user" parameter, which may be exploited by attackers to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser.
The second flaw is due to an input validation error in the "index.php" script that does not properly filter a specially crafted "user" or "quale" parameters, which may be exploited by remote attackers to disclose the contents of arbitrary files.

Solution
VUPEN Security is not aware of any vendor-supplied patch.
