Technical Description

Three vulnerabilities were identified in aeNovo, which could be exploited by malicious users to perform SQL injection or cross site scripting attacks, or disclose sensitive information.

The first issue is due to an input validation in the "search.asp" script when processing specially crafted parameters, which may be exploited by attackers to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser.

The second vulnerability is due to an input validation error in "control.asp" and "search.asp" when processing a specially crafted "password" or "strSQL" parameter, which may be exploited by remote users to conduct SQL injection attacks.

The third flaw is due to a design error where passwords are stored in clear text in the "control", "content", and "pages" tables.
