A vulnerability was identified in SoftICE, which may be exploited by local attackers to cause a denial of service. This flaw resides in the "DbgMsg.sys" driver that does not properly handle specially crafted "int 2dh" requests containing invalid debug message pointers, which may be exploited locally to crash a vulnerable system.
