Technical Description
Debian has released a security patch to correct two vulnerabilities identified in Smail. These flaws are due to buffer overflow errors when handling a signal or specially crafted "MAIL FROM" commands, which may be exploited by local or remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges.
