A new vulnerability was identified in VMWare Workstation, which could be exploited by local attackers to obtain elevated privileges. The problem is that VMware may load shared libraries from an untrusted, world-writable directory, which may be exploited by a local user to execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the user running VMware.
